The House
of the Park |

Situated
in the middle of the forest, this C16th
house is a privileged welcome point for our visitors.
Open all year round, the hostesses of the tourism
office are at your service for all tourist information.
A permanent exhibition presents the territory of the Park
and the actions undertaken.
The permanent and temporary exhibitions
- On the ground floor, an evocation of the park's natural
heritage is presented through three themes: the land,
water and the forest. They are illustrated by the human
activities associated with them: the exploitation of iron
ore, green moulding sand, chalk and clay for the land;
ponds, irrigation, drainage and log floating for water;
forestry, the use of wood, the habitat and cut lime trees
from the forest. |

important developments that have marked the territory,
is illustrated by the actions undertaken by the regional
nature Park.

exhibitions complete this presentation of the Forêt d'Orient
Regional Nature Park. |

Location
|
Situated
on the shore road of the Lac d'Orient and the Lac
du Temple, at the junction of the D79 and the D43,
the Maison du Parc is more or less half way between
(6 km) Géraudot and Mesnil-St-Père.
Entry free, open all year round.
