Hiking

The Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park territory and its surrounding area offer you many possibilities for hikes, for couples or families, alone or guided, by bicycle or by foot.
 
Guided or themed hikes
Guided or themed hikes are often organised by the Park's team, "l'Association des Amis du Parc" (members), the National Forest Office, the League of Teaching and the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO).

Trails and facilities to discovering the scenery
Several trails and facilities specially adapted allow you to discover in complete independence the natural wealth of the territory
The salamander trail (discovery of the forest and its wild hosts) in the Fôret du Temple
Ornithological observatories (lac d'Orient , lac Amance and a new one in lac Temple)
Woodland trail in the Forêt de Larivour, close to Lusigny beach (presentation of the different trees growing in the forest )
Botanical trail at the pond at Ramerupt close to Petit Mesnil
pond of the Pré - au - Lard - à- la - Chaise, with educational activities on the flora and fauna

Backpack trails (the GRP)
Two long distance footpaths cross the territory of the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park
- the Tour of the Lakes (48,5 km) described in the guidebook " Randonnées dans le Parc" on sale at the Maison du Parc
- the circuit of the Two Bars (105 km of which 34 km in the Park) described in the FFRP guidebook " GR de Pays,Les Côteaux Champagne Aubois ".
