The
Salamander discovery trail

Easy
circuit departing from the central roundabout of the Forêt
du Temple forest road (2hours - 2,5km) In the heart
of the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park, in the state
owned Forêt du Temple and close to the lakes, the Salamander
discovery trail was laid out by the ONF and
the Park. This circuit of 2.5 km is well provided
with information panels. It allows hikers to discover
and understand the forest, and its management, its wild
hosts, notably the batrachians such as the salamanders,
newts, frogs and toads. The illustrated "Sentier des
Salamandres ",is available at the Maison du Parc (35F),
gives hikers all the necessary information and unveils
the many secrets of this deep forest, its ponds and its
inhabitants.
Following the storm of December 1999, the trail
is in a small part inaccessible . We will inform you shortly
of the complete re - opening of the trail.

trail in the Forest of Larivour

In the
forest of Larivour, this trail, laid out by the
commune of Lusigny - sur - Barse and the Office National
des Forêts, presents you the different trees that
have created the renown of our forests and explains
their management. The trail is situated close
to the beach of Lusigny (Lake of Orient)
Following the storm of December 1999, the trail is momentarily inaccessible. We will inform you of the re - opening.
